This is a common statement from people who don't see why they should pay for the design services of a professional. They can indeed have a family member or friend design them a logo, create a brochure or setup their website. In some cases this can work (when their contact is a professional themselves) but the usual result is a logo, brochure or leaflet that in the end looks and reads like it cost nothing to design!

As is the case with most skilled jobs, you will generally get what you pay for. It seems that the way businesses co-exist with the most mutual benefit is to employ each other to provide their professional skills for each other. Simply stated, this means allowing you to do what you do best and me the same.

Graphic design is connecting the benefits of creative thought, talent and crafted skills to produce results that are both functional and pleasing to the eye. These are often delivered on paper or in a digital format. They are interpreted in a wide variety of media and reproduced and modified. These skills can be seen in nearly everything around us.
