Facebook, Yes or No? |
Social MediaI have worked with some quite large global companies who have moved from running a Facebook page to then choosing not to have one. I questioned the reasons for this and listened to their answers carefully. They had some good thoughts and solid marketing reasons for their decision, but did it make it the correct choice? The question is actually broader than just Facebook and includes all the popular social media channels and delivery methods. Should a business be engaged in this social way with it's customers, suppliers, stakeholders and staff? Should a business devote time and resources to developing and managing these things? I think that it is easy to create a business case for the 'Yes' vote. It seems like a very human way of disseminating the public communications you are already sharing.
